For many couples, the idea of a destination weddings comes to mind when they are first beginning the planning process. It can be romantic and whimsical to think of a place that you either have never visited or have fond memories of visiting in the past, and people want to incorporate that feeling into their wedding by choosing to travel.
Norma and Steve did just that! Steve proposed to Norma then called me to help them plan an intimate destination wedding in Savannah, Georgia. Their wedding was planned in three weeks from proposal to wedding day and full of love and joy!
Norma lost her mother and wanted to honor her at the wedding. We sewed in a piece of her mother’s favorite red dress in the form of a heart in Norma’s wedding gown. I also surprised her with a picture of her mom and attached it to a charm on her wedding bouquet. Norma’s warm embrace when she found it was so special. I just love surprises!
Norma and Steve were such a fun couple. The wedding was intimate, with just the two of them and Norma’s son who walked her down the aisle. Steve’s son and daughter were also in the wedding. They did the sand ceremony to join both their families together and ended the day with a beautiful reception at The Olde Pink House.
